Dear Friends:
Here are several suggestions which may provide you with a basis for optimizing the monetization potential of your networking efforts. You may change any of the suggested variables to suit your needs, but the object of this simple post is to give you the proper variables to look at:
1. Dedicate 20% of your working time to networking activities. Join groups, introduce yourself, communicate with the whole group as well as with individual members, ask questions, make recommendations and referrals, give advice, put together team projects to strengthen your network's feeling of "team", invite new people to join your network and personally (via email) introduce and endorse them.
2. Send something of interest out to every member of your network no less than once monthly. Let them know that you exist, and that you are thinking about them.
3. When a member of your network communicates with you, be responsive, polite and as helpful as possible. Be of genuine, sincere service.
