Dear Readers:
In difficult times, one has to be be especially strong. When resources are limited, one has to be especially enterprising. When problems loom large before us, we should worki together to solve them. Teams, partnerships, fraternities...in the best of times, these things serve to cloak us in greater anonymity and afford us an advantage in camouflaging our foibles and inadequacies; but during the worst of times, our productivity and chances of success grow exponentially as we help each other.
Even though we are each individuals, we are compelled by something deeply programmed within us, to join with others in a communion or sharing of things.
It is difficult for any person to do battle with hardship alone -- but it is just as difficult celebrate achievements without someone with whom to share them.
Faithfully,
Douglas Castle
