RECIPROCITY!

RECIPROCITY!

I had the opportunity to pay Mr. Rick Itzkowich a compliment. Rick is a writer for THE NATIONAL NETWORKER and has a number of wonderful management and communications tools and programs of his own. He is growing increasingly successful. Go to page http://tnnw10.blogspot.com/ and scour that page for QUOTEACTIONS, a fabulous rapport-building product designed by Rick and some other teammates. It isn't adequate to connect -- you must COMMUNICATE CONSISTENTLY to become ever-present to every hard-won member of your email list. QuoteActions has been designed to do exactly this.

Rick is quite a character. I had written him up in a brief Tweet a couple of days ago, and paid him a simple, honest compliment. I stated what to me is becoming increasingly evident. Rick knows how to earn and keep friends. That is a crucial skill to successful networking. I called hime the CZAR OF NETWORKING. Rick wrote me back:
-----------------------------------------------

Hi, Douglas Castle.
You have a new direct message:

http://twitter.com/stayingintouch: The Czar of networking! Love it Better than the White Frog of Networking :-) Appreciate all your support. How can I reciprocate?
Reply on the web at http://twitter.com/direct_messages/create/stayingintouch?utm_medium=email&utm_source=dm&utm_campaign=dm Send me a direct message from your phone: D STAYINGINTOUCH
-----------------------------------------------

The words printed in red say it all. RECIPROCITY. Rick took less than 15 minutes from my Tweet posting (where I called him the "Czar of Networking").

I ask you, one and all, to take a crucial lesson from Rick. I believe that he has stumbled upon an ancient secret (dating back to the Dale Carnegie era, or perhaps even earlier). People are lonely -- they want friends. And doing business with friends improves the quality (or as my friend, client and partner, Elaine Ingis of SrMeetUp! would say, the "sweetness") of every aspect of life.

And Rick -- Your letter back to me was more than ample recompense. You have reciprocated...with interest.

Faithfully, and in Friendship,

Douglas Castle
