Bonnie Ross-Parker: A Thought for Today about Relationships

Bonnie Ross-Parker: A Thought for Today about Relationships

Dear Friends and Colleagues:

Bonnie Ross-Parker, the Founder of The Joy of Connecting (http://www.TheJoyOfConnecting.com), A Featured Columnist for The National Networker Weekly Newsletter (http://www.TheNationalNetworker.com) and, most recently, The newly-appointed Chairwoman for TNNWC Group’s Cooperative Business Committee™ (the CBC™, which you can learn more about by clicking on http://www.thenationalnetworker.com/cbcommittee.shtml), forwarded me a wonderful quote from Neale Donald Walsh about relationships which I think is as applicable in its entrepreneurial practicality as it is profound in its insights in every Human Being.

I have taken the liberty of paraphrasing what was sent to me for the purposes of simply broadening the quote to suit an even larger audience.

Any typographical or editorial errors are strictly my responsibility, and I apologize for them in advance. Here is the paraphrased quote – I respectfully request that you study it carefully, for there is great depth of meaning and utility here:

“On this day of your life, I believe that you should know...

...that the purpose of a relationship may not be what you think.

If you are excited about forming a relationship based on

what it looks like you can get, rather than what you can give,

you have started off on the wrong foot entirely, and you

could be heading for a big disappointment.

The purpose of all relationships is to create a sacred context

within which you can express the fullness of who you are.

And who you are is an experience you have before

you enter relationship, not because you did.”

Bonnie – Thank you for forwarding and sharing these words of true wisdom.

Faithfully, and in Friendship Always,

Douglas Castle
