Yes, indeed, Friends:
One of the quickest ways to get attention (other than yelling "fire" in a crowded movie theater or walking a tightrope between two skyscrapers) is to use the power of shock. I call this approach "SHOCK MARKETING" - this may be a Lingovation, but I'm not certain.
Shocking titles, pictures or actions never fail to get the attention of an audience. When people use the expression "Shock Value," they leave out only one important word... the word is "has." The power re-phrasing should be mantra to all Mad Marketing Tacticians: SHOCK HAS VALUE.
