To get attention, you must do something extraordinary. To be remembered (recalled), it must be something that creates an indelible image in the mind's eye. Marketers and other entrepreneurial pioneers into the chasm of human behavioral psychology, I have stolen (with permission in the form of a parental note with a duly forged signature) a piece of a post which follows from the Braintenance Blog -- a proud star in the TNNWC constellation of blogs and planted it here in MAD MARKETING TACTICS!

The post title, i.e., "Friends, Sociopaths, Liars and THINKING" probably caught your attention. That's what I'd intended. Three things seem to grab people's attention and recall, both in writing and in the spoken word:
1. Unusual combinations of words;
2. Exaggerated (ad absurdum) metaphors and wild examples;
3. Unexpected, socially-inappropriate comments.
Oh yes, the post....
