Dedication to The Winning Women's Vortex - The WWV

Dedication to The Winning Women's Vortex - The WWV

Dear Friends, Colleagues, Members and those nosy persons who are sneaking a peek over the shoulders of the aforementioned three categories of legitimate readers because you've not bothered to get your own free subscription to The National Networker business publications by simply clicking on http://bit.ly/JoinTNNWFor Shame! :

The Winning Women's Vortex, an amazing site which is being sponsored by The National Networker Companies and which will be moderated by Author, Featured TNNW Columnist and Connectrix Ann Barczay Sloan is going to be opened for a brief preview on April 14th, at http://thewinningwomensvortex.blogspot.com/.

It should be noted that the site will feature multiple interactive communities featuring topics of interest to women of ambition - these topics will include, but will not be limited to the chartering of a credit union, a venture capital and business bootstrapping fund, a collective bargaining/ lobbying unit and other new institutions and programs to be established by women and for women.

The site's Founder and Moderator, Connectrix Ann Barczay Sloan, is also the author of the soon-to-be-released book, "THE POWER OF PASSION: Winning Women Reveal Their Secrets," which will contain Ann's interviews with 17 of the most promising female thought leaders and entrepreneurs standing at the leading edge of the movement for Women's Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Empowerment.

These women will also be involved as advisors, pundits and futurists on the WWV site, and they will be accessible to the public.

TNNWC has recently been reporting on the activities and achievements of several of these truly outstanding women, including:

 Bonnie Ross-Parker (America's Connection Diva and the Founder of The Joy Of Connecting, at http://www.thejoyofconnecting.com/ and The Latina Joy Of Connecting) creator of the world's most revolutionary system for in-home women's networking and relationship-building;

 Sandra Levitin, the Founder, Publisher and Editor of Kalön Women, and of Kalön Women’s Magazine at http://kalön-women.com/, two of the fastest-growing sensational resources for women 40 and over in the United States; and

Paula Fellingham, a media champion and Founder of The Women's Information Network (The "WIN") at http://www.thewinonline.com/ - a broadcasting machine which reaches an audience in the millions of women.

Gentlemen (myself, an others similarly equipped)...these women are breaking down all barriers...we can either learn to surf, or be crushed by the coming Tidal Wave.  Personally, I'm learning to be very nice, and to treat these amazing females with great respect - I would insist that you do the same, fellows, or risk the consequences.

Faithfully,

Douglas Castle, http://aboutDouglasCastle.blogspot.com
Vice-Chairman
THE NATIONAL NETWORKER COMPANIES

-----------------------------------------
p.s. Ann Barczay Sloan sent me these terrific and clever insults in an attempt to keep me in good spirits (perhaps my mother has been paying her -- I am always suspicious when a woman is nice to me). Adam J. Kovitz (TNNWC's Founder who tries to push me around ) and I decided to share these beauties with you. Thanks again, Ann -- our favorite Connectrix:

When Insults Had Class
These glorious insults are from an era before the English
language got boiled down to 4-letter words (and people
still used their brains, if they had any!).

-- The exchange between Churchill & Lady Astor:
She said, "If you were my husband I'd poison your tea."
He said, "If you were my wife, I'd drink it."

-- A member of Parliament to Disraeli: "Sir, you will either die
on the gallows or of some unspeakable disease."
"That depends, Sir," said Disraeli, "whether I embrace your
policies or your mistress."

-- "He had delusions of adequacy." - Walter Kerr

-- "He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire."  -
Winston Churchill

-- "I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries
with great pleasure." Clarence Darrow

-- "He has never been known to use a word that might send a
reader to the dictionary." - William Faulkner (about Ernest
Hemingway).

-- "Thank you for sending me a copy of your book; I'll waste no
time reading it." - Moses Hadas

-- "I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I
approved of it." - Mark Twain

-- "He has no enemies, but is intensely disliked by his friends.."
-  Oscar Wilde

-- "I am enclosing two tickets to the first night of my new play; bring a
friend.... if you have one." - George Bernard Shaw to Winston Churchill
"Cannot possibly attend first night, will attend second... if there is one."
- Winston Churchill, in response.

-- "I feel so miserable without you; it's almost like having you here."
- Stephen Bishop

-- "He is a self-made man and worships his creator." - John Bright

-- "I've just learned about his illness. Let's hope it's nothing  trivial."
- Irvin S. Cobb

-- "He is not only dull himself; he is the cause of dullness in others."
- Samuel Johnson

-- "He is simply a shiver looking for a spine to run up." - Paul Keating

-- "In order to avoid being called a flirt, she always yielded easily."
- Charles, Count Talleyrand

-- "He loves nature in spite of what it did to him." - Forrest Tucker

-- "Why do you sit there looking like an envelope without any
address on it?" - Mark Twain

-- "His mother should have thrown him away and kept the stork."
-  Mae West

-- "Some  cause happiness wherever they go; others, whenever
they go." - Oscar Wilde

-- "He uses statistics as a drunken man uses lamp-posts... for support
rather than illumination." - Andrew Lang (1844-1912)

-- "He has Van Gogh's ear for music." - Billy Wilder

-- "I've had a perfectly wonderful evening. But this wasn't it."
-  Groucho Marx

Slogans - Sharp Objects That Penetrate.

Slogans - Sharp Objects That Penetrate.

Here is a re-post from a recent blog brief which I sent out to a cross-section of social media, with some modifications and enhancements:

Communicate with Precision

Your Challenge: You have less than 5 seconds and no more than 140 characters. You are surrounded by noise, spam and information competing for your audience's attention. Make your point. Can you? How?

The Solution: A lethal, memorable catchphrase that 1) attracts attention through clever wording, humor, controversy, curiousity-building a call to action or fear, and 2) states what you or your company actually does.

The Reward: Branding, buzz, credibility, SEO and revenues.

The Means: Rhonda L. Sher, one of our newest Members of The National Networker Companies (a GICBC) doesn't call herself what she is, but she does exactly what we are talking about...my term (a lingovation) for Rhona's area of expertise, framed as a profession is "SLOGANIZING" (or perhaps "SLOGANEERING"). Given the narrow parameters of communication in this ever-declining signal-to-noise ratio environment, her area of specialization is becoming increasingly crucial.

You must SLOGANIZE or SLOGANEER to succeed. Your path is simple...

1. Sloganize (or Sloganeer);

2. Buzz;

3. Brand Yourself.

Before I lead you into a re-post of my most recent TNNW article brief about Rhonda, I am obligated, by Adam Kovitz, to tell you to join us at TNNWC (for free) to receive our free publications, and to gain access to our fabulous services and Global Interworked Cooperative Business Community. Click on http://bit.ly/JoinTNNW.

Now I have to use my vast powers of pursuasion to convince Rhonda to make her uniqely powerful area of specialization available to our Members.

What follows is re-post of what the magic of this Sloganizing (or Sloganeering) is all about.

Think about the sheer rallying power inherent phrases like "Yes We Can," "Not On My Watch," "Just Say No," "Mikey Likes It!" "Shock and Awe", "Are You Man Enough?" "Save The Children, " "Protecting Your Rights," "The Quiet Company, "Capture Those Moments," "I Keep My Neighbors Safe," To Serve and To Protect"... There is intense and immense power in well-chosen words...

Dear Friends:

Silly slogans are not fully silly. They tend to be memorable. Creating catchphrases, one-liners, blurbs, campaign (or even military operations) titles, bylines, credos and slogans requires a tremendous skill -- getting the maximimum  meaning and memorability out of the minimal number of words.

You must be a poet, a wordsmith, a humorist, a behavioral psychologist -- or you must be Rhonda L. Sher, of the Two Minute Networker (http://thetwominutenetworker.com/).

Ms. Sher is a noted author and an expert in high-speed, maximum efficiency networking, but her greatest magic lies in her ability to create fabulously catchy slogans. Every person, every company and every cause-based organization needs one. You can either visit Rhonda' websites, or you can contact her either a) by email at Rhonda@twominutenetworker.com , or by telephone at 951.587.6512. One thing is certain - Rhonda not only excels at what she does, but she has fun doing it. She is a true joy to invest time with.

By the way, this endorsement was unsolicited and is uncompensated. It's simply because I, and my esteemed colleagues at The National Networker Companies (join us at no cost by clicking on http://bit.ly/JoinTNNW) , want to be certain that all of our members and readers are constantly kept apprised of any person, company, product or service which may help them in their quest for growth.

*An Important Person To Watch: Sandra Levitin

Sandra Levitin, Founder of Kalön Women and Kalön Women’s Magazine has joined forces with The National Networker Companies.

Kalön Women reaches a growing and increasingly receptive market audience of women, age 40 and over. This particular group is the heart, soul and spirit of what The Global Futurist has termed “Generation XX”.

These women are not only re-inventing themselves…they are fast becoming the dominant and driving force in business, the professions, entrepreneurship, consumerism and activism. They are innovators, fast-learners, early-adopters and thought leaders.

Ms. Levitin offers information, product and service reviews, social and business resources, group forums, advice, mentoring, writing opportunities and access to virtually everything for this amazing segment of the market.

Learn more. Visit the website. Subscribe to the magazine. Oh, and if you’re male, learn to be very, very accommodating. Kalön readers may well be your future bosses, vendors, clients and partners. Investigate. Visit http://kalon-women.com/ .

Women, particularly those 40 and over, are rising to power and influence. Don't be left behind.

*TAKE the Self-Evaluation Survey (TNNW Survey #6)!  The polls are closing on April 15th, and we'd like your responses, feedback and creative suggestions. The survey is anonymous, unless you wish to give us your name. This self-evaluation is a crucial tool for improvement in every aspect of your business, social and spiritual life. You will learn a great deal about yourself simply by taking this amazing survey. Guaranteed.

Take the Survey and invest in yourself. TNNW Survey #6 can be accessed easily by clicking on either http://www.surveymonkey.com/TNNWsurvey6  or http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TNNWsurvey6 .

*The National Newspicker Page is undergoing an upgrade.

The National Newspicker Page, which is located at http://thenationalnewspickerpage.blogspot.com/ is the world's most efficient way to get all of the news, info and intel that you need in just 20 minutes per day in order to sound like the smartest person in the room.

Grab this gadget at http://thenationalnewspickerpage.blogspot.com/ if you don't already have it, or simply make the page a favorite, for instant reference. We are switching servers, increasing content and re-formatting access -- this is great news! Sadly, until this process is finished on or about April 15th, some of the links to sources might be sporatically disconnected. Stay with us. It will be worth your while.

*Left, Right and Center is undergoing an upgrade.

The latest addition to our info-sourcing, Left, Right and Center, is located at http://newspickerleftrightandcenter.blogspot.com/ is also undergoing the same process. This device, which accesses the the most extremist political news and views from right to left, will be available as a free-standing widget (soon!), and will also be added as an additional tab to the National Newspicker. This process should be completed on or about April 15th. We would suggest that you get this widget in addition to The National Newspicker Widget.

You'll get every bit of edgy news from the far right, the Conservatives, Republicans, Democrats, Independents, militias, survivalists, far-left Liberals, Constitutionalists, Progressives, Internationalists, Cultists....Limbaugh to Franken...Maher to Palin...Centrists to Anarchists -- even the gossip amongst the blue-haired ladies playing Mah Jong in North Miami Beach! This stuff is absolutely fascinating, and is the ideal compliment to everything that you read in the mainstream media. We cover Mother Jones as well as the Spectator. You must get this widget the instant that it becomes available. It doesn't matter what YOUR politics are...find out about what everyone is thinking!

*Rick Itzkowich, Founder of QuoteActions and the acknowledged guru of "Keeping In Touch" has officially launched his much- heralded and critically acclaimed QuoteActions Product and Program:

The QuoteActions program is an incredibly simple tool which allows you to continuously keep in touch with your important relationships (your entire, growing email list of clients, subscribers, associates) daily. It operates on autopilot! Your name and your brand will always be in front of any prospect who needs your services...and being in the right place at the right time are crucial elements in the success of any business. QuoteActions allows you to always be there when it counts. More...

QuoteActions is a fabulous tool for managing your contacts and relationships. Nothing can match it.

*We have two fabulous buttons at the bottom of every Featured TNNWC Columnist's article:

We crave your comments and feedback on every article. Be heard!

The buttons are provided for you to 1) comment on articles and to view other readers' comments on the articles, and to 2) let you forward, share, rate, promote and do other social media stuff with any article which you find to be of interest.

One button pops open to a screen which allows you to read other readers' comments, and to leave your own [the more comments you leave on the greatest number of articles by the greatest number of authors, the better your personal branding and SEO - Fact!]. The other gives you a means of forwarding or sharing, either by email or by posting to any one (or all) of your social media. Here's what they look like:

*TNNWC Client, Affiliate and Supporter, Bonnie Ross-Parker, published author and creator of The Joy Of Connecting recently received some NEW press coverage. Bonnie has created a proprietary system for women in business to network person-to-person in a completely unthreatening, inviting atmosphere that produces more actual ACTIVE BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS than any other networking method.

If you are female (you must be sure!), you should consider becoming a JOC licensee. It is the most powerful in-home, real-touch relationship and network-building tool ever conceived by the mind of man....er....ah....woman. Ms. Ross-Parker provides a fabulous system to her Licensees, along with live training, constant upgrading, publicity, service and ongoing support. JOC Licensees (and now, The Latina Joy Of Connecting "LJOC" Licensees, too) promote their own businesses while they help other invitees to promote theirs. As Paula Fellingham would say, it is a genuine "WIN - WIN" for every Licensee and attendee. In fact, you might want to look at Paula's site: http://www.thewinonline.com/.

Bottom line: Female? In business? Want fast-track growth without an enormous budgetary outlay and without pressure? Get a License -- While you can.

To learn more about this revolutionary and efficient sytem for instantly building meaningful business relationships without "speed-dating stress" or polishing up your 30-second (gulp!) "elevator pitch," download TNNWC's Public Announcement about Ms. Ross-Parker and The Joy Of Connecting by clicking on either:

http://www.mediafire.com/?zzmixjmtywm  (for those of you who prefer long, hard urls) or  by clicking on this one:

*Have you reviewed any of the blogs authored or administered by TNNWC Vice-Chairman Douglas Castle? He's even got a new one.

The new blog features music to take you away from the stresses of building and growing entrepreneurial and emerging enterprises. A music break is brief, but it allows your intellectual and creative batteries to restore themselves so that you can actually be more productive. Click on and join up (it's free, but the price is due to double on June 1st):

http://RadioDAZZ.blogspot.com  Go there.

Every other blog in this brilliant constellation, and every social media link is under the TNNWC Umbrella (which is not to be confused with the Traveller's Insurance Company Umbrella, which cannot be folded or put into your attache case):

The National Networker Companies - Networking is only the beginning...

Note: Douglas Castle is perhaps one of the greatest social and economic visionaries of our time -- then again, there are those who think that he is a ranting fool. He is neither humble nor tactful. His mother loves him...almost nobody else does. [Adam j. Kovitz, the creator of the notion of Relationship Capital, merely tolerates Castle].

Marketing Trend Brief: The Lowest Common Denominator Has the Broadest Promotional Appeal.

Marketing Brief: The Lowest Common Denominator Has The Broadest Promotional Appeal.

Note: This article was written by Douglas Castle, Vice-Chairman and Featured Columnist for The National Networker Companies, and an advisor, strategic planner and financier of emerging enterprises and businesses in the process of re-engineering themselves. The article was written for simultaneous publication to The National Networker RSS and Daily Email Newsfeed, The Global Futurist and the author's personal blog. It may be reproduced, re-published ot transmitted without permission provided that the article is published in its entirety, without editorial deletions or editions, and with all hyperlinks remaining intact and live. You may join The National Networker Companies' GICBC and receive its free publications by clicking on http://bit.ly/JoinTNNW.

Dear Friends:

Out in the sensorially overloaded and increasingly noisy worlds of marketing and advertising, it is becoming an ever-tougher challenge to make your message heard. There are numerous ways of doing this, several of which I have profiled below:

1. Repetition;
2. Uniquely memorable catchphrase or slogan;
3. Sponsorship or re-branding of other interesting news or messages, varied from day to day;
4. Being brief;
5. Being very clear as to your offering; and,
6. Being shocking or controversial.

In mass email campaigns, social media campaigns and in virtually all forms of advertising, marketing and promotion, the above six components are essential. When combined, the effect is synergistic The greatest challenges facing any advertising, marketing or promotional professional in dealing with the public-at-large are threefold:

1. Getting their attention;
2. Programming them to need (or desire), recognize and believe in your brand;
3. Creating a sense of excitement and urgency in a call to action.

These are not simple jobs.

In these times of decreasing patience,  declining literacy and  waning intellectual curiosity, the trend is to make the message as simple as possible, using fewer words, fewer steps and larger type. Expect to see more and more of this in the most successful brands. I recently received an advertisement (which I retrieved from the depths of my mile-high spam box) from MySpace which is a superb example of this type of literary economy and anti-intellectualism (which latter term is not meant in a disparaging way).

Before you view it, bear in mind the new marketing creed: When promoting to the sensorially fatigued, impatient and indolent majority, you must fashion your message (and its presentation) to the Lowest Common Denominator.

You'll notice that intelligent individuals are not offended by your brand's lowball pitch -- they are growing more acclimated to "mandated simplicity." You'll also find that the less sophisticated prospects will be drawn to action.

In a 2010 competition between the words of Emily Dickenson and the courtroom wisdom of the late attorney Johnny Cochran (O.J. Simpson's legal counsel at his trial for the murder of his ex-wife and her boyfriend, who said, in reference to a bloody glove offered into evidence, "If it do not fit, then you must acquit."), Cochran will emerge as the clear winner. Other examples abound..."Just do it."... "Obey your thirst."..."talk to your kid about drugs."... "Be all that you can be." ... "The Few. The Proud. The Marines."... "You're Fired!"..."If you see something, say something." --  examples are becoming  easier to find.

Yes, indeed. The lowest common denominator, as low as that may ultimately go, will increasingly set the tone for the nature of all advertising and marketing. As a friend said to me just this past week, "Douglas, sometimes it's smart to be dumb."

I've been trying to appeal to people's intellect for a long time, but...hey....My Bad...

The ad follows.

Faithfully,

Douglas Castle

Someone Out There Wants Exactly What You Have To Offer.

"Someone Out There Wants Exactly What You Have To Offer." - Douglas Castle

Dear Friends, Colleagues and Curiosity-Seekers:

I believe that the world abounds with possibilities, and that there is a demand for virtually every person, product or service -- just as there is a person or a provider for virtually every product or service. The odds of making that match can be reduced tremendously by 1) networking (i.e., expanding your sphere of contacts); 2) just being there - at the right place at the right moment - when someone needs what you have to offer, or when someone has what you need; and 3) following up on the inquiry (Rhonda Sher, an amazing creator of slogans, catchphrases and taglines, abbreviates "follow-up" with "FU" ....it's briefer and very memorable).

Any method or tool which helps you to accomplish all three of the above objectives can be a game-changer or star-maker. I am a cantankerous, skeptical and tactless type of fellow, but I have come to believe (reluctantly, kicking and screaming, all the way) that Rick Itzkowich has a service offering that can accomplish at least 66.66% of these objectives. I am posting a copy of a letter which I received earlier today which caught my interest - and it will be of interest to you.

Note: By the way, I did that calculation (the 66.66% one) in my head!

Faithfully,

Douglas Castle

Dear Douglas,
If you are looking for help in achieving your goals and dreams, there may be a person out there that is the perfect fit to assist you.  What goes around comes around...good karma...givers gain...all of these concepts support the belief that when you help others, you help yourself.  I have written an article that addresses this premise, and I hope you will find it valuable for both your personal and business life.

You Are Only One Person Removed from Getting Everything You Want

One of the most powerful concepts I have been toying with is the idea that you are only one person away from having someone support you in achieving your dreams.  What would happen to your business if someone who is highly influential decided to back you and promote you?  Let's say Oprah or Bill Gates, or maybe the president of an association with thousands of members.  Get the picture?

A number of years ago PL&L launched a product called QuoteActions.  It is a system that allows the small business owner stay in touch and open conversations with their contacts and prospects.  We set a goal of selling hundreds of subscriptions the first year - we felt we had a good chance of achieving our goal.
However, based on this article's title, the truth is - there was no reason why this couldn't have happened a lot sooner.  All that would need to happen is to attract one highly influential person.  If they were to endorse PL&L and QuoteActions to their clients, the time frame would be significantly reduced.

Now, here is the interesting turn of events.  At one of my networking organizations I sat next to a visitor.  We chatted for a few minutes, and he told me that my business sounded interesting to him.  We exchanged cards and decided to explore how we could work together in the future.

As it turned out he contacted me that very afternoon.  After reviewing my website and my blog, he made the call to let me know that we had something he and his company were looking for.  As a business development leader of a successful sales training firm in Southern California, they had been looking for a company that does experiential learning to help their clients.  They have a database of over 100,000 members - all are small business owners, entrepreneurs and service providers.  Imagine what would happen if his company decides to promote and become an affiliate provider of our product?  When you combine the contact numbers with the credibility this person enjoys with his clients, we could possibly reach our 1,000 within weeks.  Think about it - if only 1% of their contacts respond positively, it's a win-win for both companies.  I'm not saying this will ever happen, however, it is now a very real possibility.

It is human nature to project the future based on what has happened in the past.  We often extrapolate numbers based on averages from previous months or years.  While this approach seems logical, it doesn't have to be so.  Just remember, you are only one person away from blowing those predictions away.
So who is that person and how do you find him/her?  Well, in the immortal words of Jack Palance to Billy Crystal in the movie City Slickers P: "You know, the secret of life boils down to one thing." C : "What is that one thing?"  P: "Well, that's what you have to figure out."

I don't know who that person is or where I will meet them, although sites like LinkedIn, Biznik and The National Networker greatly increase my chances.  I do know one thing, the odds that I will find them - or them find me - are greater the more I believe and trust this process.  The mind works like a missile.  Once it locks into a target; it finds a way to get there.

In fact, I wonder if YOU reading this article could be an influential person for PL&L or someone else!
Have an extraordinary day!

Warm Regards,

Rick Itzkowich
