SEO, stickiness and increased traffic to your blog - SIMPLIFIED.

A blog is a more efficient branding, buzzing and SEO positioner than a website. Blogs, if well-written, simply carry more weight than their more static, sales-centered cousins -- the websites. If your website is surrounded by a custom-created blogosphere (or constellation) of blogs, you have built an ever-expanding tool which can serve your entrepreneurial enterprise or growing company as a self-contained multi-media network. TNNWC Management Consulting builds these for our own organization, and for the rapid media penetration and market saturation of our clients, their services, products, brands and breakthrough news. Every week our media universe grows dramatically, as does our market reach and name recognition for our clients.

Some uselful information follows...just remember to put your scrolling gloves on -- this is a long one, baby! But first, an ominous image.

The Reason For This Article's Existence:
The search engine optimized, sticky, content-rich, focused blog gathers the most followers. Here are the rules for building your "best-reach, longest potency" articles. Your visitors (both recurring and unique) and traffic will increase dramatically and rapidly if you simply don't tamper with the following proven formula.

Frequency:

You should write an entry at least once weekly.

Length:

The ideal length is generally between 3 to a maximum of 11 paragraphs; each of which should be short and punchy. Wherever possible, create simple lists, either bulletized or numbered. People love lists, rankings, trends, statistics and factoids.

Subject:

Be consistent in terms of the area or field you write about or focus upon. Build your reputation this way. Become known as a thought-leader or expert. Write with some passion, or don't write at all.

Title:

The title must be keyword stuffed within its first 120 characters.

First Paragraph:

The first paragraph should also be keyword-stuffed, but with a synopsis of why the article is important (its possible benefits) to the reader.

Closing:

Always use your full name or pseudonym {with a hyperlink to a site which contains your curriculum vitae or biography) and cite the name of your blog (hyperlinked to your blogsite address). If you write a smaller-fonted "p.s." section immediately beneath your signature closing, it will always be read. If you write your p.s. in a different font and/or color, you increase the likelihood of getting it great attention.

Your article is a sandwich (want a pickle with that?) -- from top to bottom it is:

  • Keyword-stuffed title;
  • Keyword-stuffed first paragraph with a synopsis of why the article id important;
  • Your content (which should be laced with in-text hyperlinked references);
  • Your closing;
  • Your p.s. message.
If you choose to add pictures, that's always acceptable, but they should not be overly large, and you should not have more than one image for every 3 to 5 paragraphs at maximum. Images should be centered, or set off to the left side of your posting field. Use unique and exciting images, wherever possible.

Do not use flashing images in your article -- they distract and disturb readers, and they also tend to draw the focus away from your content. Be certain that the important elements of your article (down to and including your closing) do not require scrolling on the part of your reader -- keep your best substance "above the fold" to the greatest extent possible. If your writing a long post, warn your readers (apologetically) about their having to scroll further.

As for some additional tips, try these:

1) Put together your own list (in small font) of "Labels, Tags, Keywords, Categories and Search Terms" after your p.s., and hyperlink those all to your blog's url, or any other url which you wish to build in terms of traffic.

2) After your list of "Labels, Tags, Keywords...etc." list hyperlinked titles to several "related articles" by authors other than yourself if the reader chooses to go further with his or her investigation or study of your topic.

3) Be certain that your blog sends out an RSS feed (I use Feedburner), and that every new article is "pinged" to all of the relevant search engines. For this, I recommend that you Pinglerize -- that is, subscribe to the Pingler service immediately...go to (click on):

http://freetoolsforwebmastersandbloggers.wordpress.com/2011/06/15/ping-to-increase-your-seo-and-blog-traffic/.

Their service is unbelieveably cheap and the best in the marketplace - they have a package where they will automatically ping up to 50 blogs (yours!) as frequently as every three days to well in excess of 100 excellent search engines.

Faithfully,

Douglas E. Castle, from Blogging Tips, Tricks and Tools.

Leadership, Management, Mentoring And Tough Love - Tools For Transformation

"To Lead Is To Serve"
http://imagesbydouglascastle.blogspot.com/
Leadership, Management and Mentoring are tools for personal, professional and busin3ess transformation. Those of us who choose to solve problems and achieve victories on a large scale -- "march into hell for a heavenly cause" -- are obligated to recruit, train and prepare the people for whom we have chosen to become responsible to take on many obstacles, impediments and internal psychological barriers which would otherwise prevent or scuttle progress toward their consentual benefit.

Leadership is the catalyst that activates the finest elements, skills, passions and unique personal assets inside each of the individual persons being led or mentored. Leadership is the most important component of entrepreneurship -- it is the spark that starts the fire.

The trick is to temper the fire to produce more light than heat, and to avoid the occasional urge to jump into the center of it and be consumed by it. Leaders, managers, teachers, mentors and team leaders TEND the fire, without allowing themselves or their constituents/ followers/ students/ charges to be burned. - Douglas E Castle, Chairman, TNNWC Group, LLC.

If you are cast, by fate or by personal conviction, to become a leader or a mentor of a person (occasionally a dear friend) or of a team or organization, your ultimate prospects, especially if you are successful, are quite predictable, each framed with frightful irony:

1) You will become resented, or seen as an enemy, by those whom you've helped. You will feel isolated and lonely. You will feel a longing for someone better or wiser than yourself to confide in, or to guide you;

2) You will be cast aside, as your charges no longer feel that they need you, or if their skills, honed by your diligent efforts, come to surpass yours. You will feel obsolete, vestigial and minimized -- and, sadly, your sense of achievement will not outshadow this feeling of being exiled by your own tribe;

3) Your experience will harden your heart, and you will find yourself leaning toward an atavistic indifference to your best qualities of empathy and of the ability to love. If you do not eventually develop sociopathic tendencies, you may find yourself lloking at members of your own species as "cases," "diagnoses," "challenges," or "prospects," instead of as individuals.

Yes -- this world needs more leaders, mentors and trainers. It is also true that as our society becomes increasingly dysfunctional because of inculcated selfishness and declining educational stndards, the need for leaders, mentors, trainers, coaches and teachers becomes more pressing.

Just be advised that leadership, if it is not egocentric opportunism, may require Tough Love. And be further advised that Tough Love can be tougher on the teacher than the pupil... and tougher on the leader or commander than on those in his or her charge.

If circumstances or a compelling need to change the world (or a small part of the world) should find you in the position of leader or mentor, you must heed the calling and do your very best. But a true leader or mentor will incur profound internal casualties in the process of leading or mentoring.

You cannot be weak and hope to serve others as a leader or a mentor. You must become a tower of strength to accomplish the work required, and to bear the pain that is an integral part of your success.

Faithfully,

Douglas E Castle
